Stored script execution via unsanitized item fields
Published May 31, 2023 · Updated Jan 10, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Teampass before 3.0.9 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in the browser of a folder viewer. pages/items.js.php passed entity-encoded item labels, descriptions, email addresses, tags, URLs, and icons to DOMPurify without first decoding the markup. The stored payload executes when another user accesses the shared folder, exposing data and actions available to that user's session.
