Unauthenticated database access via mainevent_id SQL injection
Published May 4, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
SQL injection in oretnom23 Judging Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data via mainevent_id. The review_result.php endpoint passes the untrusted mainevent_id GET value into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, and the published updatexml payload extracts the active database name through an error response. No authentication appears in the demonstrated request, so network access to the PHP endpoint is enough to read database content and alter data.
