Unauthenticated database access via injectable sort parameter
Published Sep 11, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
SQL injection in novel-plus 3.6.2 allows remote attackers to read and modify database data through the book-search API. The /book/searchByPage endpoint evaluates a crafted sort parameter as SQL, including an attacker-supplied time-delay subquery. The endpoint accepts the demonstrated request without authentication, and successful injection permits database disclosure, alteration, or deletion.
