Root shell access via Smart QoS command injection
Published May 5, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A7100RU firmware 7.4cu.2313_B20191024 allows remote attackers to obtain a root shell. The setSmartQosCfg handler passes the internetPri parameter through Uci_Set_Str and cstesystem into execv without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No prior privileges or user interaction are required, and successful injection yields root-level command execution on the router.
