Unauthenticated command execution via iptvVer parameter
Published May 5, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
OS command injection in TOTOLINK A7100RU firmware 7.4cu.2313_B20191024 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted HTTP request. The setSmartQosCfg handler passes the untrusted iptvVer parameter through Uci_Set_Str and snprintf into cstesystem, which invokes execv without neutralizing shell metacharacters. The request requires no privileges or user interaction, and successful exploitation provides arbitrary command execution with root-shell impact.
