CVE-2023-29963Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP download

Published May 5, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025

Remote code execution in S-CMS 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code through /admin/ajax.php. The collection action follows an attacker-controlled pageurl, extracts a PHP URL from returned content, downloads that file, and writes it into the web-accessible Media directory while retaining the .php suffix. An authenticated administrator can then request the generated file to run its contents with the web server's privileges.
