Authenticated code execution via unrestricted TFTP configuration
Published May 10, 2023 · Updated Jan 27, 2025
Unrestricted file access in Genesys CIC Polycom phone provisioning TFTP Server allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The configuration interface accepts an arbitrary TFTP root path and unrestricted upload extensions, allowing blind reads and writes outside the intended provisioning directory. Access requires the web configuration credentials, which are hardcoded and unchanged by default, and exploitation exposes or replaces files available to the server account.
