Published Apr 19, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Improper access control in PowerJob 4.3.1 allows remote attackers to create application users through the exposed /user/save endpoint. The endpoint accepts a JSON user record and persists a new account without requiring authentication or authorization. Network access to the management service is sufficient, and exploitation changes application user state by adding an unauthorized account.
