Unauthenticated service interruption via crafted web requests
Published Jun 26, 2023 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Denial of service in Lenovo SMM v1, SMM v2, and FPC firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt the management web server. The management web server mishandles crafted unauthenticated input, but Lenovo has not disclosed the request form or the resource consumed. Network reachability is sufficient with no credentials or user interaction, and the interruption persists until the affected SMM or FPC is rebooted.
