Client-side script execution via reflected method parameter
Published Apr 18, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Reflected XSS in DirCMS 6.0.0 allows remote attackers to run script in a victim's browser through a crafted m query parameter. Routes.php accepts the client-supplied m value, and RouteCollection.php setDefaultMethod returns it in a page without filtering or output encoding. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted URL; successful script runs in the DirCMS origin and can read or modify browser-accessible data.
