Information disclosure via retained image EXIF metadata
Published Apr 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Information disclosure in SENAYAN Library Management System Bulian 9.5.2 allows attackers to read image uploader metadata remotely. The membership profile photo upload stores supplied images without stripping embedded EXIF fields, and the resulting image URL exposes those fields. A privileged user must first upload a metadata-bearing membership image; attackers who can fetch its URL can recover the uploader's geolocation and device details.
