Local privilege escalation in Botkind/Siber Systems SyncApp 19.0.3.0 allows local users to gain administrator privileges on Windows. The SYSTEM-level BotKindSyncService has weak permissions that let a standard or domain user overwrite or replace its SyncService.exe executable. Execution of the replacement by the service grants administrator-level code execution and can establish persistence.
