Unauthenticated command execution via storage cancellation handler
Published Apr 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
OS command injection in WFS-SR03 firmware 1.0.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through a crafted request. The pro_stor_canceltrans_handler_part_19 function passes attacker-controlled storage-transfer cancellation input to an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants control over appliance data and operation.
