Code execution via manipulated SharedPreferences files
Published Jun 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Code execution in The Thaiger 1.2 for Android allows attackers to run arbitrary code through a malicious app that alters SharedPreferences. The published proof of concept repeatedly launches the exported com.mobiloud.activity.SplashScreenActivity with an attacker-chosen plugin_url intent extra. Exploitation requires another app on the same Android device; public material does not identify the preference key or code path that converts the input into executable behavior.
