CVE-2023-29733Public exploit

Local privilege escalation via unrestricted SharedPrefProvider updates

Published May 30, 2023 · Updated Jan 14, 2025

Local privilege escalation in DualSpace Lock Master 2.2.4 for Android allows unauthorized apps to alter protected app behavior. The com.ludashi.superlock.main.SharedPrefProvider content provider accepts arbitrary updates to lock_config.xml keys, including key_pattern_pwd, without restricting the calling app. A malicious app on the same device can replace the Lock Master PIN or change which application packages are locked, compromising the access controls that Lock Master enforces.
