CVE-2023-29726Public exploit

Persistent crash via unrestricted ContentProvider inserts

Published May 30, 2023 · Updated Jan 13, 2025

Denial of service in Call Blocker 6.6.3 for Android allows attackers to cause a persistent crash through crafted database inserts. The exported com.cuiet.blockCalls.ContProvBlockCalls provider accepts unrestricted inserts into tbBlackList, including attacker-controlled photo_uri and numeroContatto values. A malicious app on the same Android device can fill the database; Call Blocker then loads the stored records into memory at startup, triggers an out-of-memory error, and crashes again.
