Unauthenticated factory reset via adm.cgi request
Published Jun 22, 2023 · Updated Dec 6, 2024
Incorrect authorization in WAVLINK Wi-Fi APP firmware RPT70HA1.x allows remote attackers to force a factory reset via adm.cgi. The /cgi-bin/adm.cgi endpoint accepts a crafted request that invokes the reset operation without authentication or an authorization check. Network access to the device's HTTP service is sufficient; the reset erases customized configuration and interrupts connectivity.
