CVE-2023-29681Public exploit

Password disclosure via cleartext ecos_pw cookie

Published May 1, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025

Cleartext transmission in Tenda N301 v6.0 firmware 12.03.01.06_pt allows remote authenticated users on the LAN or WLAN to obtain the router password. The web interface sends the password in the ecos_pw cookie without transport protection, exposing the value to interception. The attacker must already be authenticated and positioned on the router's LAN or WLAN; the documented impact is password disclosure only.
