Authenticated code execution via PHP archive upload
Published May 12, 2023 · Updated Jan 24, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in eXtplorer 2.1.15 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code through a ZIP archive. The file manager accepts a ZIP archive containing PHP pages and extracts executable content without rejecting dangerous file types. A low-privileged authenticated account with archive-upload access is sufficient, enabling code execution on the eXtplorer host.
