Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Jun 5, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Joommasters Jms Slider 1.6.0 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code through its AJAX endpoint. The anonymously reachable ajax_jmsslider.php handler accepts a data_image upload as an image without blocking executable PHP content. A front-office-visible secure_key value and crafted addLayer request are sufficient to place executable code on the PrestaShop server, granting control in the web server context.
