Assembler crash via unchecked expression pointer

Null-pointer dereference in Yasm 1.3.0.55.g101bc allows local users to crash the assembler by supplying a crafted source file. During NASM directive parsing, yasm_expr_create follows an expression item's data.expn pointer to inspect its operator without first ensuring that the pointer is non-null. A user must cause Yasm to assemble the crafted file; the observed consequence is termination of that Yasm process, not code execution or data modification.
