Memory corruption via JavaScript-triggered invalid free
Published Jun 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
Invalid free in Mozilla Firefox-family browsers before 112 and Thunderbird before 102.10 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory. The memory manager incorrectly frees a pointer that addresses attacker-controlled memory while processing JavaScript. User interaction is required; successful triggering causes an assertion, memory corruption, or an application crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
