Memory corruption via unset WebGL point size
Published Jun 19, 2023 · Updated Dec 11, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Firefox before 112, Firefox ESR before 102.10, and Thunderbird before 102.10 allows remote attackers to crash macOS clients. The browser passes POINTS draws from shaders that omit gl_PointSize into a macOS OpenGL driver path that is not robust when the value is unset. A crafted WebGL workload reaches that path without authentication; the documented result is a browser crash, while code execution was not demonstrated.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
