Authenticated code execution via unescaped since parameter
Published Apr 18, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Code injection in XWiki Platform before 14.4.8 and 14.5.0 through 14.10.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute server code. LegacyNotificationAdministration inserts the since parameter into a date input without XML escaping, allowing crafted XWiki syntax to terminate the HTML context and run a script macro. View access is sufficient; successful exploitation grants programming rights and arbitrary code execution in the server context.
