Reflected XSS via unchecked authentication wiki reference
Published Apr 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Reflected XSS in affected XWiki Platform releases allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser via a crafted authentication URL. AuthenticationResourceReferenceHandler accepted a URL-derived wiki reference without confirming that the wiki existed, allowing attacker-controlled text to reach an HTML authentication template. No account is required, but a user must open the crafted reset-password or forgot-username URL; resulting script runs with that user's XWiki origin privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
