JavaScript crash via valstack limit mishandling
Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Improper array-index validation in affected Zabbix Server and Proxy releases allows remote authenticated users to crash JavaScript processing. Duktape 2.6 call setup mishandles the value-stack size limit, allowing excessive values to reach memory-unsafe behavior instead of failing safely. Low-privileged access capable of submitting JavaScript for Server or Proxy processing is required, and successful exploitation interrupts processing with limited integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
