Stored XSS via inadequate URL scheme validation
Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Cross-site scripting in the Zabbix frontend allows remote authenticated users to execute script through saved links in affected releases. Frontend URL validation parses user-supplied link components but does not reliably reject executable schemes in maps, triggers, and other link-bearing views. The affected branches are 4.0.0 through 4.0.46, 5.0.0 through 5.0.35, 6.0.0 through 6.0.18, 6.4.0 through 6.4.3, and 7.0.0alpha1; exploitation requires permission to add links and a user to open the affected view.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
