CVE-2023-29452Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unescaped geomap attribution

Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024

Stored XSS in Zabbix 6.0.0 through 6.0.17, 6.4.0 through 6.4.2, and 7.0.0alpha1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. The frontend accepts HTML in the custom tile provider's Attribution text field and renders it as markup in the Leaflet geomap attribution box without neutralization. A user with access to global geomap administration must save malicious attribution, and script execution occurs only when another user opens a map.
