Service interruption via unbounded TIFF tile decompression

Resource exhaustion in golang.org/x/image/tiff before 0.10.0 allows attackers to interrupt services using a crafted TIFF image. The Decode and DecodeConfig paths accept compressed tile data without a size limit, so a compact image can trigger disproportionate decompression that consumes excessive memory and CPU. An application must process attacker-controlled TIFF data with the decoder; successful exploitation can exhaust host resources and make the consuming service unavailable.
