Path restriction bypass in Softing OPC UA C++ SDK and Secure Integration Server allows remote attackers to reassign file and directory paths. FileDirectory FileType rename handling uses a user-supplied path in file operations without properly validating namespace separation or object path-assignment limits. No prior privileges are required; arbitrary local-file reads or writes and root-context code execution require chaining with a separate relative path traversal flaw.
