CVE-2023-29369Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via RPC integer overflow

Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 1, 2025

Integer overflow in Microsoft Windows Server RPC Runtime allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through network RPC traffic. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected RPC routine, the untrusted integer calculation, or how the wraparound reaches the denial-of-service condition. Network access with low privileges is required; the documented consequence is availability loss without data disclosure or modification.
