Code execution via freed-memory reuse
Published Jun 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Use-after-free in Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server allows attackers to execute code when a client connects to a malicious server. The driver accesses an object after releasing its memory while processing server-supplied data; Microsoft has not disclosed the affected function or object. Exploitation requires a user or application to initiate the connection, after which code can run in the client process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
