Heap corruption via V8 accessor type confusion
Published May 30, 2023 · Updated May 5, 2025
Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome before 114.0.5735.90 allows remote attackers to corrupt the heap through a crafted HTML page. The publicly named locus is V8’s internal Object::SetPropertyWithAccessor path, but Google has not disclosed the incorrect type operation. A user must load attacker-controlled HTML, and the published impact is heap corruption within the browser process.
