Denial of service in Microsoft .NET, .NET Framework, Visual Studio, and PowerShell allows remote attackers to interrupt applications. The affected X.509 certificate-processing path consumes resources incorrectly, but Microsoft has not disclosed the responsible function or malformed certificate property. Exploitation requires an application to process attacker-supplied certificate data; confidentiality and integrity impacts are not reported.
