Code execution via FLA use-after-free
Published Jun 15, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Use-after-free in Adobe Animate 22.0.9 and earlier and 23.0.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a malicious FLA file. FLA-file processing accesses an object after its memory has been freed; Adobe has not identified the affected parser, function, or object. The targeted user must open the file, after which code runs with the current user's privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
