CVE-2023-29245Network attack vector

Unauthenticated SQL execution via malformed asset fields

Published Sep 19, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025

SQL injection in Nozomi Networks Guardian and CMC affected releases allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL through network packets. The IDS accepts attacker-controlled packet data in certain Asset Intelligence fields without adequate validation before those values reach the web application's DBMS. Exploitation requires crafted traffic and extensive system knowledge, but grants uncontrolled database reads, structural or data changes, and service interruption.
