Arbitrary code execution via unescaped wikiId
Published Apr 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Eval injection in XWiki Platform before 13.10.11 and affected 14.x releases allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. WikiManager.DeleteWiki inserts the unescaped wikiId URL parameter into a translation macro argument, letting XWiki syntax break out and run Groovy, Python, or Velocity code. View rights to WikiManager.DeleteWiki are sufficient, and successful exploitation grants full access to the XWiki installation.
