Code execution via out-of-bounds FNE file read
Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Fuji Electric FRENIC RHC Loader 1.1.0.3 and earlier allows attackers to disclose data or execute code via an FNE file. The FNE-file parser reads beyond an intended buffer while processing malformed file data; no more specific code locus is public. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file, after which process-accessible data can be exposed or code can run in the user's context.
