Remote ID suppression via spoofed ODID traffic
Published Jul 11, 2023 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Information omission in BlueMark Innovations DroneScout ds230 firmware 20211210-1627 through 20230329-1042 allows attackers to suppress real RID data. The adjacent-channel suppression algorithm treats carefully timed spoofed ODID messages as genuine, drops authentic RID observations, and publishes attacker-crafted RID data to MQTT. The default configuration is affected, but exploitation requires adjacent wireless access and precise timing; downstream brokers lose authentic drone identity data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
