Unauthenticated service crash via synchronization message overflow

Improper input validation in Rockwell Automation ThinServer releases allows remote attackers to crash the service with synchronization traffic. While parsing a crafted synchronization-protocol message, ThinServer permits an integer overflow that produces a read access violation and terminates the process. No authentication or user interaction is required; the documented consequence is a service interruption, not data access or modification.
