Privilege escalation via crafted DLL overwrite
Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Privilege escalation in Autodesk Desktop Connector 16.2.1 and earlier allows local users to gain elevated privileges via a crafted DLL. The product permits the DLL to be installed outside the default location, where it can overwrite product components and run with elevated privileges. Exploitation requires a local user to introduce the DLL and trigger its loading, enabling attacker-controlled code to inherit those privileges.
