Improper privilege management in Lenovo XClarity Controller allows remote authenticated users to gain unauthorized read-only access via LDAP. When LDAP supplies no login-permission attribute, the controller assigns read-only authority instead of refusing access. Reachability requires LDAP authentication and authorization with the attribute undefined; the granted role permits viewing controller information but blocks maintenance and configuration changes.
