CVE-2023-29055Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via unfiltered configuration export

Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025

Information disclosure in Apache Kylin 2.0.0 through 4.0.3 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read server-side credentials. KylinConfig.exportAllToString serializes every kylin.properties entry for the Server Config interface without removing password-bearing keys or values. Exposure requires plaintext HTTP traffic and credentials stored in kylin.properties; the consequence is credential disclosure to an on-path sniffer.
