CVE-2023-2904Network attack vector

Personal-data disclosure via mutable visitor identifier

Published Jun 7, 2023 · Updated Jan 6, 2025

Authorization bypass in HID SAFE 5.8.0 through 5.11.3 allows remote authenticated users to read other visitors’ personal data via the web API. The portal trusts a client-controlled visitor-id field instead of binding the requested record to the authenticated account. Access requires credentials available through an internal user's request and the optional External Visitor Manager portal; unrestricted requests can also interrupt service.
