Authenticated file read via absolute path traversal
Published Apr 17, 2023 · Updated Mar 3, 2025
Path traversal in Roxy-WI 6.3.9.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read server-accessible files via an HTTP request. The get_config function in app/modules/config/config.py rejects relative traversal but accepts absolute config_file_name paths supplied to /app/options.py. User-level credentials are required; disclosure is limited to files readable by the web-service process.
