Telemetry setting changes via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Happy Addons for Elementor 3.8.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify telemetry settings via forged requests. The handle_optin_optout() function accepts opt-in or opt-out requests without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to follow a crafted link, and the forged request changes only the plugin telemetry preference.
