Authenticated container data modification via security-context misconfiguration
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Improper access control in IBM Cognos Analytics on Cloud Pak for Data 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to modify container data. The deployed workload's misconfigured container security context permits system calls beyond the container's intended restrictions. Low-privileged network access and high-complexity conditions are required, and successful exploitation can add or modify data.
