Credential disclosure via shared ScriptRunner encryption key
Published Jun 1, 2023 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
Hard-coded key use in DataSpider Servista 4.4 and earlier allows attackers to decrypt credentials from ScriptRunner Launch Settings files. ScriptRunner and ScriptRunner for Amazon SQS embed the same private encryption key for every installation instead of storing it in the execution environment. Access to a target deployment and an encrypted launch file exposes the stored user's credentials and permits operations with that user's privileges.
