Engine shutdown via OBD-II ECU reset request

Denial of service in Škoda Superb III 2.0 TDI models through 2022 allows physically proximate attackers to shut down the engine via OBD-II. A specific Unified Diagnostic Services reset request sent through the diagnostic port causes an ECU reset that stops the engine and disrupts other vehicle components. Physical access to the OBD-II port and user interaction are required; the documented effect excludes safety-critical functions.
