UDS access disclosure via decodable CAN encoding

Weak password encoding in the MIB3 Infotainment Unit through 0304 allows physically proximate attackers to decode critical UDS access data. The unit transmits authentication data for critical Unified Diagnostics Services over the vehicle CAN bus using an encoding that is readily decoded. Physical access to the vehicle and user interaction are required; the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of UDS access data.
